Management Policy

Creating these three key elements support
ACCRETECH-TOKYO SEIMITSU management:
Principles of Product Development,
“Win-Win” Relationships and a Flat Organization.

A. Implement “Strategic Principles for Our R&D”

1

Endeavor to create the number one products in the global market. Products with the leading share in the global market should have the following qualities :
-The ability to generate maximum profits during favorable economic periods (Mini Max)
-The ability to incur only minimal losses during periods of recession (Max Min)

2

Finance R&D exclusively from internal cash flows (Max Min)

3

Target fields that have strong technology barriers but where market needs are high and the potential size of the market is large (Mini Max)

4

Actively seek alliances to share R&D costs and utilize synergies that benefit industry partners (Max Min & Mini Max)

High-speed technological innovations are commonplace in today's business world. To grow in such an environment, we believe that it is necessary to have a resilient product development system and appropriate standards for product development. ACCRETECH-TOKYO SEIMITSU's Strategic Principles for Our R&D minimize the effect of fluctuations in capital investment and create a base for growth and profitability. We will leverage this system to further raise corporate value.

B. Create the World's No.1 Products through “Win-Win” Relationships

Cutting-edge technological expertise and speed of development are imperative to produce global market-leading products. To accomplish this, it is essential for ACCRETECH-TOKYO SEIMITSU to build mutually beneficial “WIN-WIN” relationships with individuals and companies around the world that share the same drive to develop globally unmatched products. We have formed an international hybrid type structure, intermingling diverse cultures to create a one-of-a-kind product development system.

C. Establish a Unique R&D System with Defined Authority and Responsibility

A flat organizational structure with dispersed authority and responsibility is essential in facilitating pertinent and swift response to market changes. ACCRETECH-TOKYO SEIMITSU introduced a Group Leader System in 1988, in which technical development teams are arranged according to product. The leader of each group is responsible for product development and performance, while also having power to conduct business plans, investment and hiring.

In line with the establishment of an Executive Officer System in April 2002, each group leader was appointed to the position of executive officer. This has enhanced speedy decision-making in R&D planning and flexible market response.
