JIMTOF2024 took place at Tokyo Big Sight from November 5 (Tuesday) through 10 (Sunday), 2024.

This fair aims to contribute to the development of industry and the promotion of trade through increased domestic and global transactions and international technical exchanges of machine tools and related equipment.

Under the concept of "Experience the ACCRETECH value," we gave measurement demos using actual products in our booth, which were divided into three areas of core components of next-generation automobiles (batteries, e-Axle, and electronics). Among them were a demonstration developed to meet the measurement needs of customers using actual workpieces and a presentation on the central stage showing our latest measurement solution using a specific example. These demos provided visitors with hands-on experiences with the products and services of the Tokyo Seimitsu Group. The fair was very successful, drawing a turnout of as many as 10,000 people during its period.

1.Non-contact 3D surface texture and contour measuring instrument "Opt-scope NEX" series

Electronics measurement solution "Opt-scope R NEX SD"

The 3D white light interferometer microscope Opt-scope provides a high resolution of 0.01 nm uniformly across the vertical direction, regardless of the lens magnification. Capable of measuring nano-level surface texture with a low-magnification lens, the microscope enables a wide range to be measured quickly in a single shot. The Opt-scope NEX series, the new addition to the Opt-scope lineup, includes an all-in-one floor installation model (DX type) that allows the operator to perform measurement free of stress and the desktop type (SD type) to which options (camera, column height, surface plate size, jig option, etc.) can be added according to measurement needs.

2.Dimensional X-ray CT system

Multiple out-of-sight areas can be inspected all at once with unprecedented ease of use.

Insightcom's easy-to-use CT technology allows anyone to conduct a complex measurement or inspection task efficiently in a single scan. Insightcom lets you measure and inspect hidden defects and internal structures that a contact-type or optical measurement system cannot deal with.

3.Surface texture and contour integrated measuring instrument

e-Axle measurement solution "SURFCOM NEX 200 DX2 system with the ±45° automatic drive unit tilting device"

Both surface texture and contour can be measured in a single trace.

Equipped with newly-developed, wide-range hybrid detectors covering more than twice the range of conventional models, this instrument efficiently evaluates the surface texture and contour of inclined surfaces, undulating shapes, and curved surfaces in one trace. In addition, special-purpose detectors for surface texture and contour measurement can be switched and added freely at a later stage as appropriate for the workpiece. As long as you have one SURFCOM NEX unit, you won't need another surface texture or contour measuring equipment.

Reference

This option can tilt the drive unit by ±45°according to software instructions. Of course, tilting instructions can be embedded in the CNC program, allowing the option to support fully automated tilt measurement as well. The target area can be measured easily even with a large and heavy workpiece that is difficult to tilt.

4.Roundness and cylindrical profile measuring instrument

Since its release in 2014, the RONDCOM NEX series of Tokyo Seimitsu has continuously evolved to meet market needs. Inheriting the diverse product lineup, various measurement functions, and outstanding maintainability from its predecessors, the RONDCOM NEX is the state-of-the-art roundness and cylindrical profile measuring instrument that supports two labor-saving options. The exhibit showed the measuring instrument integrated with an external air supply system – a new product – and a collaborative robot. This automates all the processes previously performed manually by the operator, leading to a phenomenal increase in measurement efficiency. The instrument also featured a non-contact surface texture measurement pickup, displayed as a reference exhibit, presenting a non-contact roundness/surface texture measurement application.

5.Surface texture and contour measuring instrument

A high-end model of the SURFCOM TOUCH series, the SURFCOM TOUCH 50 is an instrument that boasts high levels of resolution and straightness while being compact in size. The barcode-compatible option, a new product of the SURFCOM TOUCH series, makes SURFCOM TOUCH even easier to use. It allows you to enter and change measurement/analysis conditions (condition setting) and operator and workpiece names instantly by scanning barcodes. The option also lets you perform basic operations, such as measurement start and stop and data output and printing, through barcode scanning. Since the operation is simpler and the setting time is shorter, the total time required for the inspection process from measurement preparation to post-measurement processing can be reduced. The SURFCOM TOUCH 50 also features the non-contact surface texture measurement pickup (reference exhibit) as a proposed solution for non-contact surface texture measurement.

6.Coordinate measuring machine

e-Axle measurement automation and labor-saving solution

ZEISS DuraMax® + shelf-type workpiece stocker TARNAR (collaborative robot built-in type)

Tokyo Seimitsu proposes an automation and labor-saving solution for customers considering measurement automation for high-mix, low-volume production.

A single power supply is all you need to prepare for measurement. The scanning-type coordinate measuring machine ZEISS DuraMax® that packs the ZEISS technology into a compact body is combined with the shelf-type workpiece stocker TARNAR, enabling measurement automation for high-mix, low-volume production. The TARNAR, which has casters and operates on a single power supply without requiring air, can be set up easily. Its space-saving, simple configuration reduces the required installation area by more than 50%, compared to the conventional stocker. Moreover, with a collaborative robot and a control panel integrated into its main unit, the stocker can be connected to a measuring instrument to build a space-saving automatic system. Tokyo Seimitsu proposes a one-stop solution for the automation of the entire measurement process from concept development to design, introduction, operation, and follow-up.

Overview
