"ZEISS XENOS®", the coordinate measuring machine with world’s highest-class*¹ measurement precision, improves its guaranteed accuracy

We are pleased to announce that there has been an increase in the guaranteed accuracy of the "ZEISS XENOS^Ⓡ" ultra-high precision coordinate measuring machine (CMM) manufactured by Carl Zeiss and marketed by TOKYO SEIMITSU CO., LTD.

Since its release in 2014, the ZEISS XENOS^Ⓡ has been used in various areas where high precision is required, including R&D institutes, aerospace industry, optical equipment, and high precision master gauges that support manufacturing sites. Featuring the world's highest-class measurement precision, this coordinate measuring machine has consistently delivered the best possible performance as a reference machine.

In 2016, we began the sale of the ZEISS XENOS^Ⓡ as the high-end model of coordinate measuring machine and installed Japan's first machine in our showroom in Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture. This has proven to be an excellent reference machine as it has been used not just for customer demonstrations, test measurements, and consignment measurement services but for many other purposes as well, including development and performance improvement of our products and verification of the dimensional accuracy of components.

With this update, the guaranteed accuracy has been improved by stabilizing the production quality through exploiting the know-how been gained so far since the release of the ZEISS XENOS^Ⓡ and improving the calibration and correction techniques, such as adopting a new gauge dedicated to the machine.

The ZEISS XENOS^Ⓡ, which delivers a stunning “ultra-high precision” exceeding the conventional high precision level, will continue to support customers in their advanced quality control.
