5th Aerospace Technology & Components Expo (AeroTech)
After Report
From June 22 (Wed)–June 24 (Fri), 2022 ACCRETECH participated in the 5th Aerospace Technology & Components Expo (AeroTech; organized by RX Japan Ltd.) held at Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo International Exhibition Center). Under the theme “Pioneering the future of manufacturing: ACCRETECH,” we presented a booth and seminar proposing cutting-edge non-contact measuring solutions that support quality assurance in aircraft components.
Along with the debut exhibition of the non-contact blisk measuring machine XYZAX Opt-BLISK, which reduces the time required to evaluate blisks down to 60% compared to conventional devices, the booth showcased the dimensional X-ray CT system ZEISS METROTOM, the three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine ZEISS CONTURA®, and the multi-sensor measuring machine ZEISS O-INSPECT, presenting the four products using video and panel displays. We also displayed sample workpieces such as blisks and blades as visual aids to propose efficient evaluation methods for complex profiles and internal structures, which helped garner much interest in the form of requests for measurement tests and opportunities to see the actual machine.
In addition, our “Metrology Solution for Aero Components” seminar introduced measurement solutions with a focus on aircraft engine components, such as through non-contact, high-speed measuring of blisks, high-precision measuring of engine covers, and the evaluation of blade profiles and internal structures.
The global aircraft market demands authentication and certification based on international standards, as well as stringent quality control of components. Measurement technology cultivated by ACCRETECH will continue to support everything from the development to the production of aircraft components, including engine components that require ever-improving performance.
